Topic: JHES Parent Committee Time: Feb 16, 2022 06:00 PM Yukon Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85492399800?pwd=ZkxIY0JTd0toSjltcmhYbnZ4YXlYdz09 Meeting ID: 854 9239 9800 Passcode: 354346 January 11, 2022 Dear families, We are writing to inform you that, due to continued staffing challenges, remote learning will be extended through January 14, 2022 for most students. At this time, we hope to return to face-to-face on Tuesday, January 18. (Monday, January 17 is a city-wide Professional Development Day.) Our Shared Resource Programs will continue to operate at the school as usual. As well, if you are an essential service worker or have concerns about the additional supports your child with disabilities or diverse learning needs requires, please contact the school administration ([email protected]) to discuss options for how the school may support your family. We are making this change for operational reasons due to staffing challenges currently faced by the school. This change is not the result of any public health concerns. The school remains safe and the acting Chief Medical Officer of Health has not recommended any general changes to the direction to continue with in-person instruction in Yukon schools. We understand that this may be a challenge for some of you. We want to assure you that we are working together to keep students engaged in learning. Educators will play a critical role in supporting students while they are learning remotely. As we move forward together, we are committed to ensuring you receive timely information on a regular basis. Sincerely, Ryan Sikkes ADM, Schools and Student Services Department of Education Meeting 7:00 January 5, 2022
